The Eden Valley Museum’s 25th Anniversary

THE FLOW OF TIME IN THE EDEN VALLEY

This year the Eden Valley Museum has two new exhibitions to mark the 25th Anniversary of its opening in June 2000. They are:

‘Discovering History through 25 Objects’ – which features many objects from the museum collection not previously on display. Visitors will be treated to a display of donated items in the ground floor galleries that all have a story to tell, including many objects never on show before, as well as some old favourites.

And ‘Exploring Change in the Eden Valley’ – a look at how change over time has affected various aspects of the Eden Valley. On the first floor there will be multiple display panels highlighting various changes, including rural landscape, shops, industry, healthcare and community events.

WWII Anniversaries

War Cabinets – to coincide with the various WWII anniversaries this year, displays in our War Cabinets have been re-instated in the Courtyard Bedroom.

VE Day and VJ Day Memories – also on display are family stories and pictures, including newspapers, street party photos, service records, mementoes and weddings!

Entry to the Museum is free. For more details see http://www.evmt.org.uk/
