Edenbridge Town Council is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
The website has been tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to ‘the non-compliances and exemptions’ listed below.
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Both of these plugins on our website are built through third party software, which we do not have direct access to change and amend. We’ve assessed the cost of fixing the issues and we believe that doing so now would be a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations. We will make another assessment when the supplier contracts are up for renewal.
The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services. For example, we do not plan to fix walks guides or information leaflets prior to this date.
Any new PDFs we publish will meet accessibility standards.
This statement was prepared on 29 September 2026.
This website was last tested on 29 September 2026 against the WCAG 2.2 AA standard.
The test was carried out by Black Spiral Design Ltd. The most viewed pages and templates were tested using automated testing tools (Silktide and WAVE) by our website team. A full audit of the website content was carried out using the SiteOne Crawler.
We will repeat the audit annually and apply any new fixes or changes required. We will also apply any fixes or changes for accessibility as they are raised in response to any queries and complaints we receive.
