Southeast Communities Rail Partnership is fund-raising for ‘Sustain’ and a series of organised walks have been arranged to form a walking festival in and around Tonbridge. They will feature glorious countryside, historic buildings, the town’s history, famous residents from the past and much more.
Please view the website for specific dates/times/charges/venues of the walks. They start on 11th September and finish on the 17th, with times ranging between starting at 10am and finishing at 9pm.
One of Community Rail’s keen supporters, Vivian Branson, will be leading her ever popular ‘Austen Family Footsteps’ walks on 11, 13, 14 and 16 September.
Tonbridge is easily accessible by both train and bus and as the town hosts many places to stop for refreshments why not leave the car at home and make a day of it?
You can also find out more about the town by viewing the Tonbridge section of our Tonbridge, Redhill & Reigate guide which you can find within our website.
In addition to these organised walks, there are ten Edenbridge Town Council leaflets covering lovely walks around Edenbridge. Click here for more details.
